Sony introduces the new internal BWU-300S Blu-ray disc writer. The Sony BWU-300S is able to write single and dual layer BD-R media at up to 8X speed. The 8X recording speed is achieved using 6X compatible BD-R media.
In addition to BD-R, the Sony BWU-300S burns also DVD at up to 16X, CD at up to 48X and DVD-RAM. It supports DVD+R/+RW/-RAM discs, DVD+R Dual Layer as well as CD-R/RW discs. It is priced at $399.99.
