Samsung is going to ship in November its M8800, aka Pixon or Bresson, touchscreen mobile phone. Samsung M8800 is one of the Koran cell maker’s 8 Megapixel camera phone, the other one is the Samsung i8510 INNOV8.
Instead of Symbian OS, which is used in INNOV8, Samsung M8800 runs the TouchWiz UI that can be found on Samsung Omnia and Samsung F480. The TouchWiz is a widget-based UI. Here is a video preview.
Samsung M8800 Pixon features a 3.2-inch touch display, an auto focus 8 Megapixel camera, integrated GPS, Accelerometer, Bluetooth, FM tuner and a microSD card slot. Other than common media formats, the phone supports also DivX videos.
The phone’s 8 Megapixel camera offers ISO 1600, auto focus, face/smile/blink detection, shake reduction. It can capture 720×480 WVGA and 640×480 VGA videos at 30fps.
